DESCRIPTION:#cocreateDESIGN FESTIVAL will take place from 20-23 September 2021 as a hybrid event with small in-person gatherings and site tours accompanied by widely accessible online streaming options. An initiative of the Mission Network of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in South Africa\, the #cocreateDESIGN FESTIVAL examines the power of design to tackle current socio-economic and environmental challenges within an African context. The festival is open to all and is organised in collaboration with the Craft and Design Institute (CDI). The event will take participants on a deep dive into four thematic areas that have been identified as the major fault lines in South Africa – brutally exposed by the impact of the pandemic – to stimulate ideas that result in change in our world.
