Top 40 Women in MICE honored | The Planner

The champagne flowed, the sweet and savoury food displays enticed the large gathering of the who’s who in the MICE trade of suppliers and services to let their hair down and enjoy the splendid entertainment.

What a morning it was for the Meetings magazine’s Top 40 Women in MICE function at the excellent Crowne Plaza Johannesburg- The Rosebank.  The brain-child of the initiative was editor Martin Hiller supported in the build-up and on-the-day by an array of 3S Media’s senior management and personnel.

It did not go unnoticed that complimenting the entire morning was the stage backdrop with the Meetings magazine brand in pink. This was further enhanced with Martin’s pink tie to match.

The array of useful and informative goodie bag contents was much appreciated,  which was of course also in pink.

The standard of the prizes matched the occasion with many envious of the big prize of a trip for two on The Blue Train to Cape Town won by Sandton Convention Centre’s executive director Mati Nyazema.

It is refreshing to observe a prominent industry publishing house go the whole way in real style by acknowledging with a gathering of the MICE trade’s women who – let’s face it – represents the majority of the MICE trade.

The first Meetings magazine Top 40 Women in MICE sets a strong foundation for a publication that is going places as well as making an innovative and powerful impact on the MICE industry.
