Green conference a big success | The Planner

It’s never easy to organise a successful conference.  It is even more difficult when the delegation ranges from the well-informed to the uninformed on the subject matter under review.

By the same token, the world café style-type of conference in which various experts provide a short, sharp expose of a particular green topic followed by table-hopping delegates with well-orchestrated timing needs patient hours of presenter briefing by a highly-experienced facilitator.

The Event Greening Forum’s (EGF) annual conference at the start of Meetings Africa set a seriously high standard in which valuable pointers on a range of green matters were shared.

Close to one hundred delegates were delighted with the conference outcomes and most ended the morning with loads of information and a host of new ideas.

A special thanks to EGF initiator Justin Hawes for keeping the EGF’s AGM short and very sweet – long may the EGF go from strength-to-strength.
