As the world increasingly sees different cyberattacks through different mediums and techniques, the AIPC and Paratus are happy to announce a strategic partnership for cybersecurity for the association and its members. The AIPC and Paratus have been working since 2022 to gain crucial intelligence from worldwide members to create understanding and has created the world’s first collective security network to allow independent centres to actively fight against these cyberthreats.
This partnership aims to provide comprehensive cybersecurity defences across the association’s network of convention centres, ensuring that sensitive data, financial transactions, and personal information of event organisers, attendees, and exhibitors are fully safeguarded. Despite each centre’s independence, it is key to ensure that, collectively, they are stronger together because of the AIPC Cyber Resources.
As the events and convention industry continues to embrace digital technology, convention centres are increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks, including data breaches, ransomware, and other malicious activities.
“We are excited to partner with Paratus,” commented Sven Bossu, CEO of the AIPC. “They have been working diligently with our association for a number of years with different parts including intelligence, specialist detailed webinars and interactive session to allow maximum engagement around cyber security to ensure the safety and integrity of the services our convention centres provide. As the events industry evolves, so do the threats facing our facilities. This collaboration allows us to stay ahead of the curve and provide peace of mind to our members.”
Sharing a similar sentiment was Robert McClure, Director of Paratus: “Cybersecurity is critical in today’s interconnected world, and we are proud to strengthen the digital defences of the AIPC convention centres as well as to have created this collective network for the members. We are resolute in our unwavering support to these centres. Together, we are building a more secure environment so that they the members can deliver successful events without the constant fear of cyberthreats.”
