The Exhibition and Event Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) this week held its 46th Annual General Meeting, where members reflected on the Association’s continued growth and elected a new Board of Directors for the 2026/2027 term. Outgoing Chairperson Sibusiso Mncwabe said EXSA remains a strong and credible voice for exhibition stand builders, suppliers and event organisers across Southern Africa.
The newly elected and appointed board members are:
Chairperson: Gabi Babinszky (2026/2027)
Vice Chairperson: Angelique Smith (co-opted)
Treasurer: Ishmael Atanasi
Immediate Past Chair: Sibusiso Mncwabe

Each board member will lead a specific portfolio, with further introductions to follow in the coming weeks. In his acceptance remarks, Chairperson Gabi Babinszky said serving EXSA’s members will remain the board’s highest priority. He added that the newly elected and co-opted team is well positioned to advance a more representative industry, raise professional standards and strengthen EXSA’s role as the voice of the exhibition and events sector in Southern Africa.
