Evan Badenhorst is set to lead ANEW Hotels & Resorts as managing director, effective from 1 November 2023. This appointment marks his transition from his three-year role as the financial director within the organisation.
Evan’s career is characterised by an unwavering work ethic and an insatiable drive for growth, attributes honed during his leadership of the finance department. In 2020, Evan joined ANEW Hotels & Resorts as the financial director, bringing with him his exceptional problem-solving skills, expertise in crafting efficient systems, and an innate ability to foster cohesive teams to drive organisational growth. His unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity mirrors the core values of ANEW, encapsulated in the acronym HITEC (Honour, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, and Courage).
Evan played an essential role in steering ANEW Hotels & Resorts through the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his leadership, the organisation not only weathered the storm but also expanded its property portfolio from just three properties in 2020 to an impressive tally of 16 properties in 2023.
