With the Africa Travel Week (ATW) gearing up for launch in under a fortnight, a riveting content programme for WTM Africa 2024, aiming to bolster industry insights, connections, and commercial development, has been released. The Cape Town International Conference Centre (CTICC) will host upwards of 73 live sessions from 10 – 12 April.

Says Olivia Gradidge, Marketing Manager at Africa Travel Week:

“As we enter a pivotal year for growth in 2024, celebrating ten years of Africa’s premier B2B inbound and outbound tourism trade event, WTM Africa, we’re elevating our content programme to reflect this milestone.”

This edition will cover sought-after topics like sustainable tourism, MICE, corporate travel, digital travel innovations, AI, social media strategies, inclusiveness, and sports tourism. Additionally, the launch of the latest Africa Travel Week Trends Report is set for a panel discussion on Friday 12 April at 13:30 in the Spotlight Theatre.

Brain Box at WTM Africa 2024

Gradidge emphasises the novel Brain Box initiative, designed to foster productive, participant-focused debates.

“This year’s theme, ‘Step Inside,’ invites attendees to immerse themselves in each Brain Box session. These engaging discussions aim to unite industry stakeholders at various levels to collaboratively address common hurdles,” she explains.

WTM Africa is placing a spotlight on sustainability, with chosen official partners integrated into the programme, including Fair Trade Tourism hosting a hands-on Brain Box workshop on achieving global market presence for responsible destinations and projects.

“With our comprehensive three-day programme, there’s something for all. However, to fully benefit, registration is essential. Join us to gain invaluable insights, network, and empower yourself to propel your business to new heights,” concludes Gradidge.
