Introducing fly-in safaris to Tintswalo Safar| The Planner

Tintswalo Safari is delighted to offer guests the newly available option of fly-in safaris directly into the heart of the Manyeleti Game Reserve, facilitated through Federal Airlines’ scheduled shuttle flights or alternative charter services departing from OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg. Departures from OR Tambo are arranged twice daily, at 10:30 and 13:00, with return flights scheduled to touch down at 12:30 and 15:30 respectively. For those on a journey through multiple reserves, shuttle flights can also transport guests to additional lodges, perfect for those on extensive safari itineraries.

Seamless transitions: From the sky to the safari

Upon touching down at the Manyeleti airstrip, guests of Tintswalo are warmly welcomed and swiftly transported in a short 10-minute safari vehicle ride to either the main lodge of Tintswalo Safari or the Manor House, nestled within the same private concession. Federal Airlines enhances the experience with its premium point-to-point service, offering seamless VIP transfers from OR Tambo’s local and international terminals directly to the aircraft, thanks to its exclusive private terminal and guest lounge. This streamlined process not only elevates the journey but also maximises the time guests can spend immersed in the breathtaking landscapes of the African bush.

Luxury amid the wilderness

Nestled unfenced next to the Timbavati and Sabi Sand game reserves within the vast expanse of the Greater Kruger National Park, Manyeleti is a secluded slice of wilderness offering an exclusive safari experience. Tintswalo Safari, one of only three lodges within this 27 000-hectare reserve, ensures an intimate Big 5 game viewing experience with minimal interference from vehicle traffic.

Distinguished for its exceptional service and luxury, Tintswalo Safari is a contender in Condé Nast Traveller’s 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards in the Resorts Category, renowned for its warm hospitality. Guests have the choice of six elegantly furnished Explorer Suites, the two-bedroom Baines Presidential Suite, or the two-bedroom Grant Suite. Inspired by the adventures of 19th Century African explorers, each air-conditioned suite boasts a private plunge pool and sweeping views of the local fauna, including elephants, deer, and troops of monkeys.

For those seeking a more secluded retreat, the Manor House at Tintswalo Safari presents the ultimate in privacy and exclusivity. Ideal for families or groups of friends, it features 5 ensuite bedrooms, a swimming pool, and personalised services including a private chef, safari guide, and exclusive use of a game viewing vehicle, ensuring a bespoke and unforgettable safari experience.
