On 5 September 2024, the PCO Alliance Network celebrated the arrival of spring and Tourism Month with its first-ever “Spring Fling” event. Held at the stylish Inspire Rentals Warehouse in Wynberg, the occasion combined a supplier exhibition with a vibrant social exchange, the brainchild of PCO Alliance Chairlady, Melody Barber.
A total of 15 renowned venue collections and groups showcased their offerings at the event, each boasting visually captivating stands styled with Inspire Rentals’ chic furniture and props. Exhibitors included major industry players such as:

The exhibition took on a “speed dating” format, where suppliers shared insights about new venues and upgrades with attending PCO Alliance members. To further amp up the excitement, exhibitors also contributed incredible prizes for both a lucky draw and various category prizes.
The Indaba Hotel in Fourways stole the show, winning the award for best stand. Their vibrant setup featured an explosion of colorful flowers and cupcakes, with staff dressed in spring-themed attire. The hotel’s signature gin cocktails, served straight from their on-site Gin School, added a special touch. Meanwhile, Mowana Spa staff treated attendees to whimsical face painting, heightening the fun, springtime vibe.
The Planner Guru team had the pleasure of attending and can confirm that the event was an absolute hit. The energy, the innovative setups, and the warm hospitality from all the vendors made it a truly memorable occasion.
Guests were treated to delicious snacks and refreshments throughout the morning, and the event concluded with a delightful lunch paired with wine and bubbly. The atmosphere was lively and joyful—a fitting celebration of the season.
With such an overwhelmingly positive response, many suppliers have already expressed interest in securing stands for next year’s event, ensuring the Spring Fling will remain a highlight on the PCO Alliance calendar.
