Castle Heritage Braai Day brings festive flavour to Table Mountain | The Planner

Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) is inviting South Africans to celebrate Heritage Day with flavour, fun, and festivities at the Castle Heritage Braai Day on Wednesday, 24 September (11h00 – 17h00).

 

Due to adverse weather, the cable car will not be operating, but the celebrations will continue at the Lower Station, ensuring everyone can still enjoy the day’s activities, food, and prizes. A day of food, fun, and prizes

 

Heritage Day is about celebrating the things that bring us together,” says Selma Hercules, Executive Director of TMACC. “While we can’t welcome visitors to the summit today, we are excited to host everyone at our Lower Station for the Castle Heritage Braai Day – a true celebration of South African heritage with great food, local flavour, and a spirit of togetherness.”

 

How it works

 

Visitors can take part in the fun by:

  • Downloading the TMACC app, where the activity map will guide you through the day.
  • Completing seven fun tasksto qualify for prizes.
  • Claiming a complimentary boerewors rolland a Castle beer for over-18s. A soft drink option is also available.
  • Prizes to be won
  • Spot prizes throughout the day.
  • Main prize every two hours:a Limited Castle Edition Donkey Long Tong Jack Sack – a bespoke braai set.
