Joburg Tourism appoints new Executive Head: Tourism Strategic Services | The Planner

Johannesburg Tourism Company (JTC) is proud to announce the appointment of Rendani Khorombi as Executive Head: Tourism Strategic Services, effective 1 October 2025.

Khorombi brings 17 years of experience in the tourism sector, having served Joburg Tourism in various capacities, including his most recent role as Senior Manager: Convention and Visitor Services Bureau. His extensive expertise spans business events, visitor services, tourism development  and destination positioning. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a consistent ability to drive economic impact through tourism, foster long-term partnerships and unlock new tourism niches across Johannesburg.

Khorombi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Development from the University of Johannesburg and has completed senior leadership programmes at the University of the Witwatersrand (Managers’ Leadership Development) and the University of Cape Town Senior Leadership Development Programme).
