Pinotage On Tap – or “POT” as it’s more often referred to, is an annual wine festival not only unique in its style, but unrivalled in the industry! This event won the title of “The Best Wine Event in the World” awarded by Drinks International Tourism Awards in London.
What makes this “cult-like” event so unique, is that Pinotage On Tap originated when Diemersfontein realized what a terrific fan following their Coffee & Chocolate Pinotage was developing! In an attempt to spoil these fans, Diemersfontein held the first Pinotage On Tap party (2003), which was all based around the single idea of having this delectable wine, free flowing and served quite literally – from the barrel tap!
From then on it became an annual instalment. Hosted every year they celebrate the latest harvest of their “Original Coffee Pinotage” with barrels of Pinotage and an abundance of foods that best compliment the wine. These events are held in 3-4 locations, namely Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town (on the farm itself). Popular live music bands add the perfect vibe to the occasion, with a splash of fun and games for all to enjoy. (We can’t tell all, or we’ll be giving away our formula!)
Pinotage on Tap’s official beer partner, Darling Brewery, will also be on site offering their slow-crafted brew to anyone not that big on wine and included in the ticket price is meal vouchers for lunch and a dessert.
Please be advised that there will not be any ATM’s on site, so bring cash for any purchases from the other food and beverage stalls.
