An aura of timeless elegance sets the tone for Restaurant at Grande Roche Hotel, where the Bosman’s experience, fine dining and attentive service is the order of the day. Bistro Allegro serves a simple but excellent menu and their Private Dining Room offers the charming intimacy for your special occasion.Their Michelin-trained Executive Chef, Roland Gorgosilich, infuses classic international cuisine with imagination and innovation. To complement the exquisite menu is their award-winning wine list – an extensive selection from their cellar; with expert recommendations from their sommelier.
Accommodation
The essence of the Grande Roche Hotel experience lies in the unique, individually named suites spread over landscaped gardens in the midst of a working wine farm with its inimitable style and unsurpassed excellence in service. From the moment you arrive, you are warmly greeted by their Guest Service team, offered a welcome drink and escorted to your suite through the beautiful gardens.
Studio Suites
The six studio suites are situated in the charmingly restored coach and carriage houses of the historic estate. They contain a spacious lounge/bedroom and each has its own semi-private garden terrace with a magnificent view of the majestic Drakenstein mountains. One of the rooms is fully equipped for disabled guests.
Duplex Suites
We transformed the old slave quarters on the estate into five duplex suites, with names that reflect their Dutch colonial past: Java, Jasmijn, Batavia, Malabaar and Koljanner. The ground floor of each suite has a spacious lounge, where extra beds can be made up to accommodate families. Upstairs the large bedroom boasts twin or king bed configuration with views across the gardens.
Terrace Suites
Their 18 terrace suites are in groups of three, scattered around the estate. All are built in the original Cape colonial style, with thatched roofs, shutters and trailing vines over the private outdoor terrace. Whether you are relaxing in the lounge or enjoying a lazy morning in the bedroom, the view from each room is spectacular. Imagine looking out on the mellow mists of autumn or the bright green vines flanked by roses in the summer, this is the place to be whatever the season.
Garden Suite
Their garden suite was once the original farm stable. A combination of luxury, romance and rustic charm, this is a totally private suite. It has a lounge, bedroom with king-sized bed, bathroom with double shower and spa bath, private sun terrace and separate enclosed patio. It doesn’t get better than this!
