Get a taste of Decorex Durban 2020 – and future kitchen trends | The Planner

Decorex Durban has created a number of foodie features for its upcoming show – from design trends and concepts to nifty gadgets, a live cooking theatre, and plenty of tempting catering options to keep your taste buds entertained.

These include:

The Kitchen Design Project presented by Blanco which offers both technical considerations and inspiration for those who are planning a new kitchen or just want to refresh their current one. Skhuni Trends, MAD Design Studios, Ram Cupboards and Nkayishana Décor Trading will create a range of culinary spaces in various décor styles such as Contemporary, Country Farmhouse, French or Coastal.

Choosing the right surface is an important aspect of every kitchen, and the Kitchen Trend feature by Cosentino will help visitors better understand their options, the latest trends and what to think about when making this decision for your home.

A new dedicated feature will showcase the best in kitchenware at this year’s show – the Appliance Feature brought to you by Tafelberg. The aim of this stand is to help you get excited about cooking while choosing the best tools for your needs. A curated selection of the best in home technology and appliances will also be on show here.

The Bosch Gourmet Cooking Theatre will give you the chance to see the latest appliances and kitchen surfaces put to the test. The Theatre is a longstanding favorite with visitors to the show, who will be able to learn new tips and tricks from top chefs, as well as how to get the most out of their home appliances.

No doubt all these foodie features will leave you with an appetite. Luckily, there are plenty of options to satisfy it with: indulge in delicious coffees from the professional baristas at Illy, sample a platter of locally and European inspired food at The Tribe, or enjoy locally sourced ingredients and seasonal palette trends at The Art Café. The Wine & Bubbly Bar will bring you some of our country’s best wines, while The Great Railroad Brew urban bar will be offering Durban’s best local craft beer, and The Neon Gin Jungle will be serving premium distilled gins and cocktails made by expert mixologists.
