SATSA asks members to complete a survey on the impact of the Coronavirus | The Planner

In response to President Ramaphosa declaring a national state of disaster due to the Coronavirus outbreak on Sunday 15 March, the Southern African Tourism Services Association (SATSA) is preparing for discussions with government.

To help them prepare, they need information. Therefore they are asking all businesses in the industry to complete a survey, as and when a cancellation is received, and detailing:

  • Tours cancelled
  • Number of pax affected
  • Source markets affected
  • Number of days

SATSA is also fielding much higher than normal phone calls and emails with questions around last night’s announcement. You are encouraged to add any questions you do have to the survey, and the team will respond to the best of its ability.
