Tintswalo’s new self-catering model for safe local getaways | The Planner

In response to the new level 3 lockdown regulations which allow for in-province tourism, Tintswalo Lodges is reopening – but now with a self-catering option. Families and friends in groups of up to ten people can book an exclusive-use, self-catering break at one of three properties, with safari or coastal options available.

The destinations to choose from are: the Manor House (pictured above) at Tintswalo Safari Lodge in the greater Kruger area, which overlooks a waterhole that offers excellent game viewing 24/7; the Tintswalo Family Camp in the Welgevonden Game Reserve in the Waterberg, which ranks amongst SA’s largest private game reserves and boasts the Big Five; and Tintswalo at Boulders Boutique Villa in Simon’s Town, Cape Town, which offers unobstructed views across Boulders Beach, the home to a colony of endangered African penguins.

These luxury lodges are all fully serviced, and stringent health and safety protocols have been adopted in line with current regulations. The safari lodges also include two safari activities a day, a safari vehicle and the services of guide, as well as a private chef, housekeeping, laundry and Wi-Fi.

Each option costs R25,000 per night for 10 people, with a minimum 2-night stay. Excluded are food and beverages and gratuities. Terms and conditions apply.
