On the Whale Coast and close to Hermanus, an exclusive-use villa has just opened. Perivoli Lagoon House is managed by seasoned hoteliers Marcelino and Simoné Henckert, and accommodates up to eight people in four double suites with private bathrooms and terraces. It comes with a housekeeping service and the choice of all-inclusive or self-catering. A special launch rate is available until 15 December 2020.
The secluded home was designed by architect Gregg Goddard, and features generous living areas that open onto large wooden decks and a heated infinity pool with spectacular views. The kitchen is state-of-the-art, and well-known Stanford chef Madré is available to cater by prior arrangement. A wood-burning fire is available for cold evenings, while ceiling fans and insect screens keep guests comfortable in the warmer months.

The villa is owned by the Perivoli Trust, a philanthropic enterprise which invests its profits into conservation, land restoration and the Perivoli Schools Trust. The 140 hectares that it’s situated on is in the process of being proclaimed a nature reserve, and boasts an isolated escape with guided fynbos walks, beach excursions to nearby Walker Bay Nature Reserve, birdwatching, mountain biking, canoeing and fishing.
Guests also have full access to a speedboat and can book in-room massages, while the surrounding area of Stanford and Hermanus offer additional attractions, such as award-winning restaurants, craft breweries and cheeseries, as well as wine estates.
