JoburgPlaces Newtown-to-Maboneng inner-city walking tour  @ R350 per person
This is one of JoburgPlaces’ most popular tours. On Freedom day we add a special walkabout at the beginning through Museum Africa where the most astounding photographic exhibition is on display: the Rise & Fall of Apartheid. From there we walk through Newtown and the Corporate Mining District all the way to Gandhi Square and then on to visit to the Top of Africa on the 50th floor of the Carlton Centre. We then hop on a Rea Vaya bus and visit Market-on-Main in Maboneng for lunch before we return to Newtown by Rea Vaya bus.

JoburgPlaces Regenerated Inner-city walking tour @ R330 per person
Another incredibly popular JoburgPlaces tour that tells the story of Joburg City’s regeneration. We walk through trendy Braamfontein and take the Rea Vaya bus from Park Station to town. We explore the Retail District, the Historic Core, the Corporate Mining District and Ferreirastown. Hear the most astonishing stories of Joburg and ‘meet’ the city’s most famous erstwhile residents. This tour will leave you inspired about the future of Joburg and amazed at how much has happened in this city in a very short time.
