This four-star hotel exists through the vision of one man , Albert van der Riet, who set about giving life to his vision in the 1930’s – building a road, installing water, laying infrastructure and employing local families, many of whom continue their links with the hotel.
Upon Albert’s death, the reins were taken up by his son, William, who, together with his wife Belinda, run the hotel. William’s eldest son Byron is completing his in-service training while waiting in the wings – set to become the next generation of the van der Riet family to run Cathedral Peak Hotel.

The exclusive Presidential Suite offers the ultimate in luxury accommodation boasting electric curtains, a fire place, full DSTV, two televisions, spa bath, steam shower, air-conditioning, and private golf cart. All Hotel rooms provide tea/coffee making facilities, heaters, fans, telephones, televisions and en-suite bathrooms with both bath and shower.
