With the MICE Academy’s website in the process of being updated, the 2015 online CPD programme is on the threshold of release to the ever-growing number of subscribers.
“Our 2014 programme subscribers are looking forward to the 2015 CPD programme and the present and future range of pre-test reading materials and the accompanying test are extremely interesting,” says Helen Brewer, founder of the MICE Academy.
Since commencing the online CPD programme, the number of subscribers is growing steadily with more end-user salaried corporate and association event practitioners signing-up.
The highlights of the 2015 CPD programme are:
- close alignment pre-test reading material in keeping with the full range of domains, sectors and sub-sectors wherever possible;
- Approximately three tests per Meetings magazine edition for which the coded tests will be available in each instance where the red CPD logo is shown;
- Other important CPD methods for gaining credits will be available with explanatory details such as:
- authorship of published pre-test reading materials
- presentations on a topic identifiable with the pre-set domains, sectors and sub-sectors
- periodic briefing session participation with outcomes-based test
- The number of accumulated credits to be achieved within the specified period has been increased to 45;
- The amount of time provided to undertake an online Q&A test of 15 questions has decreased to 12 minutes.
Other important information is the highly sophisticated computerised certification programme which the MICE Academy includes within the CPD programme as a subscriber bonus. The details are:
- For each test in which three credits have been gained, a certificate will be released to the qualifying subscriber on a monthly basis with an sms confirmation.
- Each certificate will be placed in the created subscriber’s professional MICE Safe.
- Subscribers should not compare the excellent drop-box concept with the MICE Safe.
The MICE Safe is specifically geared for authentic certificates that have been checked against the all essential SAQA requirements of identity numbers. domain alignment together with the actual topic and authors. The MICE score card will be the chronicled achievements – per test line item – culminating in a total score for the period under review.
The MICE CPD Programme is a world-first in concept and value which is creating interest internationally. Meetings magazine and SA Conference advertisers and readers will be kept informed of developments as these unfold
