ConCept G Exhibitions & Events’ successful execution of the German Pavilion at Africa Health 2014 illustrates the importance of planning.
There is no doubt that the team at ConCept G are trailblazers. They are dynamic, passionate and committed – attributes that have ensured successful project realisations. ConCept G’s reputation of going beyond the ordinary continues to grow.
THE SUCCESS OF A PROJECT
You can’t build a house without an architectural design. Similarly, you can’t build a stand or plan an event without proper planning. The devil is in the detail – the details are crucial and whatever you do, do it properly.
Any project starts and ends with a design. “An accurate and detailed drawing leads to better planning and preparation in the production phase, which results in the successful realisation of the project during build-up and, finally, a timeous and proficient handover of the project,” says Gill Gibbs, CEO of ConCept G.
ConCept G plans the project scope of work thoroughly and effectively, down to the last detail – nothing is left to chance. The team is highly attentive to detail, fully utilising state-of-the-art electronic design interfaces. They are also committed to delivering a high level of client service, establishing and retaining relationships over the long term. “ConCept G is more than a valued asset and a trusted resource, we are committed to the continued success of our clients,” says Gill.
FULL IN-HOUSE SERVICES
But that is not all. The ConCept G team also has valuable expertise in infrastructural build, both system and bespoke solutions, as well as providing installation and dismantling services globally with complete project management, from cradle to grave.
With contemporary build materials and safe and easily accessible warehousing facilities, ConCept G proficiently and adeptly realises projects, having invested in system-shell schemes and system-design infrastructure as well as in furniture and décor elements – some of which were used in the successful realisation of the German Pavilion at Africa Health.
THE GERMAN PAVILION
ConCept G is an OSPI partner (Octanorm Service Partners International) – one of only two such exhibition companies in Southern Africa. OSPI comprises skilled partners with country-specific exhibition-stand expertise in more than 50 countries across five different continents. This partnership is founded on trust, reliance and reassurance. The philosophy of OPSI is ‘co-operation based on trust, in the area of exhibition-stand construction, no matter where in the world’.
Through its own reputation and that of OPSI, ConCept G was the firm favourite to build the pavilion. ‘We were contacted to tender on the German Pavilion at Africa Health through our OSPI partnership, via a fellow OSPI partner,” says Andrew Gibbs, MD of ConCept G.
Once awarded the tender, ConCept G started with the planning process from the detailed drawing of the stand they were provided. The pavilion was broken into different sectors in the ConCept G production phase, to ensure that every possible detail was taken into consideration. These sectors included the kitchen, IT, flooring, structure, graphics and furniture. Daily internal meetings were held in order to see where each of the sectors was in the planning process.
The planning stage also saw many samples being sent to Germany and countless emails showing the client the work in progress. ‘Attention to detail, breaking down the project into sectors with full team allocation, proficient planning, constant communication with the client, consistent reassuring, asking the right questions and using our experience and expertise to execute it all adeptly, resulted in the successful realisation of the stand,” says Andrew.
FUTURE PLANS
There are many exciting projects that ConCept G has lined up for the coming months and one thing is for sure: they will be well planned, perfectly executed and breathtaking. Watch this space.
