Cape Milner new boutique look | The Planner

It’s boutique, contemporary comfort in the heart of Cape Town. The newly revamped 57-room Cape Milner, located in the city’s trendy suburb of Tamboerskloof, opens its doors in August; its new stylish décor and trendy venue, The Glass Lounge, promising an engaging home-away-from-home experience in sophisticated, stylish surroundings.

Launching this August, The Cape Milner has undergone a complete rejuvenation to position itself as a boutique hub promising luxurious elements combining personalised service, modern, light finishings and supreme comfort.

The hotel’s light and airy standard rooms and executive suites were renovated with new wooden flooring, furniture and lighting. Bathrooms were completely rebuilt and entirely redesigned with marble basin vanities, new baths and showers and new tiles and taps.

In addition to upgrading the swimming pool and a new timber styled deck using environmentally friendly materials, the lower level “Pagoda” has been spruced up with the addition of comfortable lounge style seating areas.

The hotel’s new venue, The Glass Lounge, will offer a sophisticated, chic venue in one of the world’s trendiest cities.  The Cape Milner has created a plush new bar and lounge area and impressive glass roof offering stunning views of Table Mountain, which will provide glamorous and elegant, yet relaxing surroundings in which to enjoy a quiet coffee or classy cocktail catch-up with friends. Re-emerging as The Glass Lounge, this is Cape Town’s new place to be seen, rain or shine.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner incorporating fresh ingredients and stylish presentation will be served at the venue for hotel guests and visitors, while a separate lounge menu offering contemporary meals, as well as afternoon tea and cocktail hours will appeal to all visitors.

Additional facilities offered at The Cape Milner include a business centre, in-house gym and limited wireless Internet connectivity available at no additional charge. State-of-the-art conference facilities accommodating all tastes and fully flexible layouts tailor-made to suit any conferencing need are also available.

GM Jeremy Flowerday describes The Cape Milner as a boutique sanctuary for leisure and corporate travelers, with facilities to suit both markets’ needs. “The Cape Milner is situated in a lovely setting and our personalised service and attentive staff offer all an engaging experience.”
