The Three Cities Hotel Group has stepped out with the launch of South Africa’s app of the year, the innovative mobile payment app SnapScan.
Available right now and hosted by Standard Bank at the majority of Three Cities Hotels and Safari Lodges, the new convenient way to pay is with your smartphone.
To use SnapScan, all guests will need to do is download the app for Apple, Android or BlackBerry, and add their credit card details by taking a picture of their card and creating a Pin. They can then use the app to scan a QR (quick response) code — a type of barcode — at any Three Cities property and make payments.
Managing director for the group, John Creighton said that launching the most creative and innovative technology on mobile payment apps within the hotel industry was indicative of Three Cities Hotel Group’s vision to be on the edge of technological times, in order to afford the Three Cities guest a richer; quicker and more convenient ‘today’ experience.
“SnapScan is changing the way people pay for everyday things. It’s safe, easy and free! Our guests will no longer need to hand in their bank cards or cash. With SnapScan they will be able to pay instantly at check-in, with the free application that can be installed in minutes on their phone.”
