Chef Hanroe Erasmus has been appointed as executive chef of the Sheraton Pretoria Hotel.
Having spent a number of very successful years at African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel, he re-launched the March restaurant in 2013, introducing a new African-inspired menu.
Erasmus won Taste of Joburg for two consecutive years in 2012 and 2013, and was received the ‘Dish of the Festival Award’ for his Kudu Wellington and Rooibos smoked Springbok loin and truffled samp.
In 2014 he was appointed director of the South African Chefs’ Association and he received the Protea Hotels ‘Food and Beverage achiever of the year’ award.
