New sleeper couches have been incorporated into family rooms, while new, stylish armchairs will enhance the standard rooms so that guests are cosseted in style and comfort.
Managing director Neil Bald said that the lounge area has been given a total rejuvenation, and will offer every opportunity to relax, from new couches and arm chairs, to the addition of two new reading nooks offset with complimentary lighting, reading material and gorgeous coffee table books.
“Every creature comfort has been taken into account with new cane furniture in the bar deck area as well as dining chairs for the restaurant,” he said. “The refurbishment extended to the outdoor area where the decking has been revitalized and beautiful African pots will add to the overall ambience,” he says.
The peace and tranquility of the pool area is a firm favourite with all guests, and here new seating has been created together with beautiful new sun loungers and cushions to harness the influence of the bush and African wildlife.
Bald adds that Thakadu River Camp has built an enviable reputation over the years of delighting guests with an environment which pays homage to its riverine setting and to the animals that inhabit this very special reserve.
“The refurbishment will embody our dedication to ensuring that guests continue to enjoy a unique, African experience.”
