A tsunami of entertainment hits Cape Town | The Planner

The South African Ocean Festival will be taking place in Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront from 19 October to 8 November. The festival brings together sports, art, music and food in celebration of our oceans, and also aims to promote tourism and create business and job opportunities.

A variety of exciting activities are available on different days of the festival. Fun ocean activities include Xtreme Water-polo and an open water team relay. Visitors can also enjoy free demonstrations of an NSRI rescue and the “jetovator” which showcases the capabilities of a new, exciting sport. There will also be a Save Our Seas: Shark and People Exhibition and The Clipper Race Stopover will also take place during the festival. Great entertainment, including a performance from Beatenberg, and great food will be available to be enjoyed in between activities and demonstrations.

Some activities and demonstrations are free of charge. Prices for paid activities range from R100 to R120 per person.
