Fancourt has announced the appointment of Marcos Ledesma to their growing sales and marketing team. Based in Cape Town, he will report directly to Peter Dros, the Head of Sales and Marketing.
South African-born Marcos, graduated with a travel and tourism management diploma before starting an illustrious career in the travel and tourism industry. Early days saw him working abroad in the UK, Europe and USA where he learned about the different aspects of the hospitality industry. More recently however he held the position of Sales Manager at Mantis Collection, where his knowledge and perception of luxury travel has developed further. This of course suites the philosophies of Fancourt.
In his new role, Marcos will execute a local and international sales strategy to successfully drive revenue and brand awareness of Fancourt and the boutique Manor House also located on the Estate. Being fluent in German is sure to also give Marcos a definite edge in German speaking markets.
“I am very excited at the opportunities presented by Fancourt and look forward to developing new and strengthening existing relationships. With my tour operating experience, I believe I will also be able to offer comprehensive advice to our partners,” says Marcos.
As part of Fancourt’s special 21st birthday celebrations this year, a magnificent new restaurant called Monet’s offering a café bistro atmosphere and beautiful views has opened its doors. The Fancourt Spa has also had a recent refurbishment making it the perfect place to unwind. Both are good reason to visit Fancourt and use it as the perfect location from which to explore the surrounding Garden Route.
