Last October, the SAACI Academy enjoyed a successful launch.
After much thought and deliberation, the decision was made to open the Academy up to all of SAACI’s members – initially for a free trial period, and thereafter at a minimal charge, should members wish to make full use of this facility.
As of 1 March 2016, members will be able to access SAACI Academy free of charge. This trial period will last until the end of June. During this trial period, the Academy will not just be complimentary to the member companies listed representatives but to all staff members of the companies as well. Once on the Academy website, members will be prompted to register for their free trial.
As of 1 July 2016, a minimal of an additional 10% of membership fees will be charged for those who wish to continue having access to SAACI Academy’s resources.Members who accept the 10% fee will gain access to SAACI Academy’s wide variety of courses, and will benefit from a number of discounts for Accredited and Premium Partner courses.
These are provided by some of South Africa’s leading education institutions, including GetSmarter (accredited to the University of Cape Town), the International Hotel School, the Chartered Institute of Tourism and Hospitality, as well as the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. There are, of course, several more reputable courses on offer, and more will be added within the next few months. Academy Members will also benefit from additional subscription options and certifications bundles at discounted rates to further enhance their learning experience through the SAACI Academy.
The SAACI Academy strives to provide members with exactly what they need to upskill themselves, which is why new courses will be added to their portfolio on a continuous basis. Furthermore, exciting new value-added services are also in the pipeline for all Academy members to further enhance their respective skillsets.The SAACI Academy is currently in talks with sister associations in order to work out agreements that could be beneficial both to the Academy and its members.
