Since 2010 Gallagher Convention Centre has kept a close watch on the CMP status attainment process with key personnel taking the successful plunge into gaining recognition for much studying in having their knowledge and experience rigorously tested.
With the convention centre clients being the ultimate beneficiaries Gallagher has agreed to co-brand with the MICE Academy on a range of benefits that will be a high visibility indicator for supporting the raising of MICE standards across a number of operational disciplines.
Having introduced the CMP programme to South Africa over eight years ago the time is right for the
MICE Academy to include further international industry programmes, which require effective continuing professional development (CPD). In this manner an individual can grow their career profile containing on-going certification – into a Gallagher co-branded professional portfolio ring-binder. Whether the individual wishes to obtain an industry status, the ultimate achievement is the ongoing knowledge updates through a simple yet effective outcomes based certification process. Continuing professional development is only worth the paper it is printed on if the CPD process is according to South African skills development / RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) & CPD laws – which in turn must form part of a South African-governed series of disciplinary procedures.

With bursaries well in hand it stands to reason that specific high standard co-branding opportunities such as the MICE Academy will hold us in good stead for all the right reasons.
With the CMP Network being incorporated into a far larger industry picture within the MICE Academy, an Academy Advisory Board member concluded we are delighted that Gallagher will be one of our most prestigious co-branders in accordance with an equally prestigious CPD programme.
