A fun and interactive question-answer session, The Green Game, will be facilitated by Interactive Solutions, and a networking component has been structured into this.
The date for the Conference is Monday 18 February, and it will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre. This is the day preceding Meetings Africa 2013, and the Conference will be at the same venue a move that is intended to attract a number of the shows visitors and exhibitors. Meetings Africa is the continents leading business tourism show, and there is a strong link between responsible tourism and event greening. It is for this reason that the EGF has exhibited at the show for the past two years, it was officially launched at the show in 2011, and it held its first AGM there in 2012.
The EGF AGM will be held at Meetings Africa on the morning prior to the Conference, from 7.30am to 9.00am. Attendance at the AGM is free of charge and all members are encouraged to attend.
A nominal fee of R250 for EGF members, R400 for non-members and R100 for students (with a valid student card) will be charged for attendance at the Conference. This amount includes refreshments, a lunch sponsored by SAACI and a parking voucher. The Conference will run from 9am to 12.45pm. SAACI has also extended an invitation to delegates to attend its Special General Meeting and guest speaker (TBA) presentation directly after the lunch.
