The largest global brand in the food and hospitality industry, Food Hospitality World is coming to South Africa for the first time and world renowned, Michelin-starred Italian chef Carlo Cracco is helping this new trade show take the African market by storm.
Food Hospitality World takes place at the CTICC from Monday 26 May until Wednesday 28 May 2014, just ahead of the Cape Town Good Food & Wine Show. Fiera Milano, which runs Food Hospitality World in several other international markets, recognises that the African continent holds huge potential for the hospitality market. Because it is both expensive and difficult to navigate a true course of new business throughout Africa, Food Hospitality World offers a platform for the sector to connect, communicate and do business.
Fiera Milano director, Louise Cashmore, said: “To date, there has never been a truly global exhibition of this calibre with a guaranteed focussed buyer networking programme in South Africa. If you’re interested in growing your local market, expanding into Africa or going abroad, you cannot afford not to be at this exhibition.”
Food Hospitality World 2014 (FHW) has an impressive line-up of features and dedicated activities for each specific product sector; a series of interactive zones – The Lion’s Den; Foods from Around the World Theatre; The Tasting Hub; Halal World and The Gelato World – plus a programme of workshops and conferences on technical issues.
The South African Department of Trade & Industry has confirmed Food Hospitality World as the anchor for its South African inward buyer programme 2014, with buyers already secured from the Middle East (the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Arman); North Africa (including Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia); Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, India and Thailand; and from African territories such as Nigeria and Ghana.
Forty per cent of the exhibitors are from international markets – including the US, Europe and the Far East. The exhibition is focussed on premium products for the HORECA (hotel, restaurant and catering) sector, including food, beverage and hospitality.
Fiera Milano is offering a special local rate of just R2 200 per square metre which includes:
- Guaranteed pre-fixed buyer meetings
- A local and international exhibitor/buyer dinner
- Exhibition space at Food Hospitality World Africa
- Brand listing in the catalogue for local and international distribution.
Fiera Milano has committed to a maximum of three exhibitors per product sector, so it is important for exhibitors to sign up as soon as possible in order to be part of this exciting new marketing and business platform in Africa.
