Exhibition organiser, Scan On Show, has appointed Lorin Bowen into the position of General Manager. Lorin recently stepped down as the General Manager for the Southern Africa Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI) and assumed her new role on 2 May 2014.
“Lorin’s experience and relationships with the business events industry make her the ideal candidate to join our team,” said Amanda Margison, MD of Scan On Show.
With a long commitment to the hotel and conference sector, Lorin has also served on numerous tourism association committees including SATSA Gauteng, SAACI northern territories branch and as the vice-chairperson for SAACI before joining Scan On Show full time.
“To join such a dynamic team is an honour, there are so many exciting and new opportunities that lie ahead for both me personally as well as for the company,” said Lorin Bowen.
Although still a relevantly young company, Scan On Show has already made its mark within the industry by organising Meetings Africa for the last four years and supporting the South Africa National Convention Bureau in transforming the business events industry on the African continent. The company also coordinates the South African pavilion at IMEX Frankfurt, IMEX America and EIBTM. Scan On Show has recently acquired the 2nd World Congress for Healthy Ageing for July 2015, moving into management of international medical confexes.
