The deluxe African Pride 15 on Orange Hotel, located just a stone’s throw from Parliament, has added new features that have been tailored to the specific needs of its exclusive visitors and guests.
Already completed are the new 18-seater private dining area, the 140sq/m gym and the substantial spa expansion, while the ground floor concierge area and porte cochère are yet to be remodelled.
The latest phase of upgrade follows the development a year ago of a deluxe conference centre at the hotel, and an elegant refurbishment of the Atrium public space, as well as stylish makeover of Murano Bar.
The hotel has added a second 18-seater private dining venue to complement its existing 12-seater, glass-walled private dining suite adjacent to Savour restaurant.
“There is great demand for dining venues that are entirely private, so this new 18-seater space has been created alongside the Judge’s Lounge,” says hotel GM Douglas Allen.
“The private dining room, decorated in cool, soothing grey tones, has a pre-assembly area, a buffet counter, bar back and leads onto a private balcony.
“We are already fielding bookings for the space, which is ideal for set menu lunches or dinners, light buffet meals or buffet breakfast presentations.”
Danny Bryer, African Pride Hotels Director of Sales, Marketing & Revenue, says the hotel’s previously limited gym has now also been expanded and moved from the 7th floor to a vast 140sq/m spaced on the lower ground level.
“It’s the perfect spot because guests have direct lift access from their rooms without having to traverse the public reception areas and it has everything you could want from treadmills to steppers, multi-purpose trainers, free weights and exercise mats.”
Bryer says one of the biggest changes structural changes has been the massive expansion of Suntra, the hotel’s luxury spa.
“The spa has almost doubling in size from 6 treatment rooms to 10 rooms, plus a dedicated manicure and pedicure area and an outside Jacuzzi as well.
“The spa is very important to the hotel, not least of all because every guest who checks in to African Pride 15 on Orange Hotel is offered a complimentary 15-minute back and neck massage or mini facial as part of their welcome.”
Bryer says the final change, that will be completed before the start of summer, is the reconfiguration of the hotel’s ground floor concierge area and the construction of a porte cochère.
Bryer says African Pride 15 on Orange Hotel is one of eight Cape Town hotels falling within the Protea Hotels and African Pride Hotels brands to undergo a refurbishment or extension in the past three years.
“Our guest expect the best and that is what we strive to give them,” says Bryer.
