Who is Martin Brown and what do you do?
I am a serial entrepreneur, because I started Radical Holdings (Pty) Limited from double garage and developed it into a multi-award winning, multi-million Rand corporation that now supplies custom designed and built all-terrain 4 x 4 power wheelchairs to customers worldwide. My keynotes are based on my true life story of overcoming adversity and soaring with my personal experiences around entrepreneurial thinking, innovation and true inspirational leadership. Prior to starting Radical Holdings (Pty) Limited in 2005 after an accident left me paralysed from the neck down, a quadriplegic, I studied NTC 5 in Mechanical Engineering and N.Dip Emergency Medical Technology. My company has now become the top designer and manufacturer of custom built power wheelchairs in Africa. In 2007 I completed a N.Dip in Information Technology at Unisa and I’m currently busy with my B.Com Entrepreneurship. People are my passion, and so sharing everything I’ve experienced in life and business and my journey to becoming one of our country’s top entrepreneurs. I have had the pleasure of presenting some eye-opening keynotes at amongst others, conferences for GIBS, University of Pretoria, CSIR, Standard Bank, ROCCI, Tiger Brands, IMM Graduate School of Marketing and feel privileged to share my passion for creative thinking, innovation and life.

What makes you unique?
My material was created and based on my own personal experiences in coping with not only being paralysed from the neck down but running my companies, so I believe my materials to be unique although I do make references to other companies as examples that my company drew inspiration from. While there are plenty of speakers in the industry, none are like me as I speak from my experience and a true life story. I’m still an active CEO down to workshop level, my examples are current, the research is fresh, and my materials ever changing ~ as we keep growing.
How do you blend a client’s business message into your materials?
By doing a full and detailed briefing with you I will ensure to match the objectives you want to achieve for your audience from your event, and shape those key messages through my materials. This will ensure that your audience leaves with a tailor made ‘on-brief’ message shaped for your company and industry.
