Coca-cola dome wins awards | The Planner

Fifteen years of experience hosting exhibitions of every kind, concerts and exciting sporting events including some unique celebrations, gives the Coca-Cola dome  an edge over other venues. A truly exceptional entertainment arena, close to the N1 highway and only 20 km from Sandton, its convenient location makes for easy access.  Promising the same standard of eventing excellence to all we welcome, the Coca-Cola dome has been awarded the PMR.africa Diamond Award.

In PMR.africa’s annual national survey on Event and Exhibition Venues in South Africa, the Coca-Cola dome was highest rated in the National Events and Exhibition venue survey with score of 4.14 out of 5.00. Capturing and holding the attention of event organisers and the public has become a unique combination of art and science, one which the Coca-Cola dome has managed to accomplish.

“We’ve added another feather to our cap with this Diamond Award,” says Warren Green, commercial manager of the Coca-Cola dome, “These awards recognise the incredible team at the venue. Being rated for our excellence in the exhibition industry is extremely satisfying. It means the environment we’ve created that supports our services and facilities is being widely acknowledged.”

The team of strong individuals at the venue ensures an excellent track record. More recognition comes our way as the Coca-Cola dome has been shortlisted as a finalist in two categories in the 2014 National Business Awards in collaboration with the Top Performing Companies publication! The nominations are in both the customer focus and the sustainability categories. This respected South African business award celebrates outstanding performance in the world of business.

Delivering truly successful events is coded in our DNA, and in October we’ll be hosting rAge. This year NAG LAN is set to enthrall gamers who bring their own computers for 53 hours! In other words the entire weekend is for the gaming fanatics in Gauteng. Exhibitors will be showcasing the latest and greatest technologies. Next up will be the Investment & Retirement Expo which is perfect not only those near retirement but also for retirement planning and efficient investing. This is followed by The Photo & Film Expo and the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge EXPO, where all entrants to the Cycle Challenge will collect their race packs. A truly busy time for the venue.

They also have a marathon concert run in November – five concerts in five days.  The venue hosts the R&B and soul singer John Legend; a performance by hot indie rockers Thirty Seconds to Mars and the contemporary and smooth jazz saxophonist Kenny G.
