Carol Van Rooyen joins the Sun International family as General Manager at Zambezi Sun in Zambia
Sun International’s newly-upgraded Zambezi Sun Hotel in Zambia has a new manager at the helm, Caron van Rooyen.
Van Rooyen joins the Sun International family from Emperors Palace in Gauteng South Africa, where she held the position of Hotel Operations Manager since January 2013. Van Rooyen brings with her a wealth of experience having worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years.
She started as the Front Office Manager at African Sky Hotels in 1999, later moving to Peermont’s Metcourt Suites at Emperors Palace. And also enjoying a stint at Peermont D’oreale Grande as Front Office Manager before being promoted to Hotel Manager at Emperors Palace – a position she held from January 2009 to December 2012.
Van Rooyen holds a Hotel Management Diploma from International School of Hotel & Tourism which she obtained in 1991. She also holds a certificate in Management Development which she obtained from Damelin College in 2013.
