The Conference Company took the honours in two categories of the 2014 Exhibition and Event Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) Industry Award.  Being named the best supplier company – project management and Natalie Kensley, research, marketing and sales manager and the best supplier employee – project management.

Nina Freysen-Pretorius, Chief Executive Officer of The Conference Company, says these awards are particularly significant as the conference and exhibition sectors continue to move closer to one another.  “This kind of peer recognition is extremely valuable and we are truly pleased with these awards.”

The Conference Company, based in Durban with regional offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg, was founded in 1997 and today it is one of the largest professional conference organisers in South Africa, specialising in the association market.  Freysen-Pretorius is also President of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).

Kensley, based in Cape Town, has 15 years’ experience in the leisure and business tourism industries and joined The Conference Company in 2011.  “I am passionate about service and people and throughout my career I have been fortunate enough to work with fantastic individuals – those who have taught me the important life lessons needed to survive in the hospitality industry and those who taught me the finesse and fine art of attention and eye for detail,” she says.

Freysen-Pretorius thanked her team for their professionalism and hard work.  “You truly deserve these awards and I am very fortunate to have your exceptional support and dedication.”
