What is your favourite dish to make?
It’s hard to identify one dish, my love for food surpasses one particular meal – I love pushing the boundaries with each and every meal that I create. The art of cooking is looking for inspiration in whatever dish you make.
What is your favourite food and why?
I don’t have a favourite food as my passion is for all food; as long as it’s fresh and innovative. I do however, relish lamb chops infused with rosemary on the odd occasion.
What was your favourite part of being a finalist on Ultimate Braai Master?
I got to interact with a diverse group of people and I cooked for 52 days, on and off the road, in weird and wonderful places and even paddled down rivers. I enjoy being adventurous and trying new things – both in and out of the kitchen.
Why did you decide to become a chef?
There is no grey area about being a chef – either you love it or you don’t. I have a genuine appetite for the industry and view it as culinary art. Being able to express my passion and creativity through food is an intrinsic part of who I am.
