The Maslow hosts 2015 PRISM Awards for the first time | The Planner

Maslow receptionSun International’s award-winning Maslow Hotel in Sandton will play host to the prestigious PRISM Awards taking place on Sunday, 19 April 2015.

About 300 of South Africa’s top public relations professionals, some of their illustrious clients, and members of the media are expected at the event where the best performing practitioners will be acknowledged.

The Maslow has played host to several high profile events in the past two years, including the HICA Summit, the Business Traveller Africa Awards, and the IT Summit.  The Maslow will also be sponsoring this year’s award for Best Public Relations Professional.

This is the first year that The Maslow Hotel has hosted the PRISM Awards. The Maslow is a specialist business hotel which is entrenched as one of the best in Gauteng, stacking up a number of accolades which bear testimony to its premier service and facilities.

Set amidst a tranquil oasis garden in the heart of Sandton, The Maslow combines prime location, state-of-the-art amenities, and premium service. It boasts sumptuously-appointed rooms, 12 private meeting rooms, a conference centre, Africology Spa, and a ballroom. Its conference centre is the second largest convention and conference facility in Sandton.

“We are honoured to be venue sponsor for the 2015 Prism Awards and proud to be associated with the awards programme which serves to recognize best practice in the public relations field. Public relations practitioners work tirelessly behind the scenes to manage the brands and reputations of some of South Africa’s most respected companies, often without much recognition for their efforts. This spectacular event is an important platform for acknowledging their hard work and commitment. We look forward to welcoming our special guests to the Prism Awards this year,” says Keletso Kowa, the PR Manager at The Maslow.

The Public Relations Consultants’ Chapter of PRISA presents the annual PRISM awards in recognition of excellence and best practice locally. Since its inception 18 years ago, the PRISM Awards have grown to become the flagship awards for the public relations industry.

The judging criteria for the PRISM Awards are the same criteria used by the International Public Relations Association for its IPRA Golden World Awards. The winning programme/campaign at this year’s event will be entered into the International Public Relations Association’s (IPRA) Golden World Awards in the United Kingdom.
