Pioneering an innovative series of linked ideas can have high risk yet when it works โ the rewards are nothing short of spectacular.
The basic objective was to draw the MICE and marketing fraternity in a manner that would ensure various incentives were taken-up and entice this level and type of visitor to the exhibition floor forย all the right reasons.
It was an ambitious plan yet the mixture of a topical workshop session coupled with high value prize-draws, to the value of several thousand Rand each, and an equally valuable Survivor Tool Kit (goodie bag worth around R600 each) certainly proved a winner.
The MICE exclusive VIP workshop session commenced with Gary Corin of the soon-to-be-launched African Exhibition Organisers โ a member association earmarked to address the critical and specific needs such as venue challenges, targeted research together with standard safety and security issues.
Helen Brewer CMP detailed the permutation dilemma of the varying commission systems โ which is a growing vexing situation for buyers and planners alike. The workshop concluded with a recent conference case-study by Incredible Events including the severe short lead-times.
The workshop was sprinkled with high value prize draws plus a goodie bag of equally high value and immense use going forward โ collectable only on the Markex exhibition floor at the popular
MICE Stand.
The MICE Academy is grateful to the following supporters and sponsors who ensured the workshop and Survivor Toolkit drew great appeal and ultimately enhanced the quality visitor foot-fall:
Scan Display, Barmotion, HackleBrooke, Awesome South Africa, Matrix Mobile Bars, Sweet Bouquet, Hotel Gardenia, AVL Productions and Specialised Exhibitions.
Extended positive visibility is certain for these significant brands going forward.
