All wine aficionados, connoisseurs and wine lovers should diarise the 3 to 4 July for the 2015 Wine Show which takes place at Emerald Resort & Casino’s large Events & Exhibition (E&E) Centre.
This wine show is viewed as the precursor to the Vaal Meander Wine Route. This year the Route celebrates its 12th year and runs for six weeks from 11 July to 16 August.
“Every year the show grows from strength to strength and this year we’re pleased to host new wine farms showcasing their produce,
“Whether our guests prefer a Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon, we will have them all at the show,” says Tanuja Gangabishun, marketing executive at Emerald Resort & Casino.
Visitors will be able to browse through a variety of exhibitors which includes representation from many notable wine farms in the form of wine makers, owners and wine ambassadors with a sample of over 200 South African wines. Some of these include Claim d’Or, Muratie, Neil Ellis, House of Mandela, Driehoek and Le Pommier which cannot be found locally.
“Emerald Resort & Casino’s wine show has over the past few years become a ‘must attend’ event for wine distributors, sommeliers and wine labels. Visitors love the opportunity to sample and purchase the very best of South African wines, right here in the Vaal,” notes Tanuja.
Entry fee is R70 for 20 tastings and includes a tasting glass; children and designated drivers have free entrance. As safety is always a priority, they will receive different coloured bands and will not be served any alcohol. For more information call +27 (0)16 982 8026.
