Often in the pursuit of a dream, one is faced with many challenges that may knock you down. Sometimes it is easy to get up, dust yourself off and continue on your journey, however sometimes these challenges are difficult to overcome. It becomes easy to forget your talents and passion, but some people never give up on the dream.
Some Joburg residents might recognise this man from in and around the area of the Jolly Roger in Parkhurst. His name is David, and he is an amazing man who has not given up on his dream, despite the knocks life has dealt him.
David used to be the head baker at a well-known Joburg bakery. Unfortunately when the bakery came under new management, they implemented drastic salary cuts and David decided to pursue a temporary position in Cape Town due to financial reasons.
He has since returned to the City of Gold and is currently looking for a job. He possesses incredible baking talents and can bake anything, from breads to cakes and pastries.
