More industry experts to speak on panels at EIS | The Planner

The 2015 Event Industry Summit aims to unite event industry stakeholders and qualified corporate buyers and provide a platform for industry-related topics to be discussed by the leaders in the industry, ultimately growing the power of the event industry.

Delegates can expect many informative discussion panels with industry experts on a wide range of industry topics. There will be three sessions with each session having a brief scene-setter followed by a panel discussion lead by a seasoned facilitator.

PANEL 1 SPEAKER 

Wayne Steven-Jennings has a Bsc. Hons degree in Geology and notwithstanding this qualification, left the Johannesburg Stock Exchange where he was plying his trade as an investment analyst in 1991 to join members of his family in the events industry.

Wayne started in the industry in 1991 and spent 12 years at Reservations Hotline, a full service conference and event management company. In that time, he brought the Africa Conference directory and it’s website venuesearch.co.za to the market. He also initiated a standards system to manage quality of service, professionalism and accountability of event management companies who were members of the South African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI).

He has served as Chairman of the Conference Organiser Chapter of the association for three years and a member of the national board of the association for as many years.

The Event Organiser’s Network (EON) is a conference and event networking hub focused on experiential business to business interactions, complemented by vibrant social networking.

EON has over 5500 members nationwide. Membership is free and carries no obligations, however, all member applications are accredited to ensure that members meet minimum criteria.
