According to Irish folklore, in a leap year it is acceptable for a woman to get down on one knee and propose marriage to their boyfriends.
The SAB World of Beer is not saying you have to propose, but at the very least is encouraging women to treat their men to a more manly Valentine’s Day.
“Every year we men are expected to pull off hearts, roses and chocolates to romance our wives, fiancés or girlfriends – but this year, why not give your man a beer experience instead,” said Tony Rubin, general manager of SAB World of Beer.
In honour of Valentine’s Day, the popular beer tour venue will be hosting a five-course food and beer pairing lunch, which couples can enjoy together or as a group.
