The Association of African Exhibition Organisers (AAXO) announces speakers for what is set to be yet another promising Organiser Sales Training Day on 18 May 2016 and reveals the first detail regarding their exciting Exhibitions Industry SleepOut set to coincide with Global Exhibitions Day on 8 June 2016.
With the Association of African Exhibition Organisers’ much-anticipated Organiser Training Day set to take place at the Sandton Convention Centre on 18 May 2016, it has released more details regarding the event’s speakers: internationally acclaimed author and motivational speaker Justin Cohen as well as the world’s top recommended sales trainer Andy Preston. The day’s agenda will further include an International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) webinar on helping exhibitors maximise their outcomes by events expert and Exhibit Surveys Vice President, Ian Sequeira and the highly respected exhibition industry research specialist, Nancy Drapeau, who is the Director of Research at the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR).
On top of this exciting news, AAXO has also announced an industry-first SleepOut to take place in June 2016 and set to gather all the greatest and most dynamic players in the exhibition industry. In line with AAXO’s strong 2016 focus on growth, training and knowledge sharing, the Organiser Training Day is positioned to educate exhibition and event organisers’ sales teams on Revenue Growth including Return on Investment for Exhibitors, Increasing Stand Sales and Securing Sponsorships.
This series of empowering and informative sessions has been designed specifically to provide organisers with the tools, resources and insights to market and run their exhibitions more effectively. Presenter and producer of an SABC 3 talk show, where he interviewed some of the world’s top experts on success, and author of four books including, The Astonishing Power of Story, Justin Cohen has been described as “a leading authority on human potential who electrifies his audience with a powerful message that will have a long lasting effect.”
Focused on the fields of motivation, sales, service and leadership, Cohen has presented to more than eight thousand professionals annually during the course of his 15 yearlong career. Media Two Known for his ability to close more deals and win business from the competition, Andy Preston is no stranger to the demanding and dynamic modern sales environment.
Having been a top sales performer himself, Preston believes that the fundamentals of sales success are completely trainable – something which he has focused on doing while working with over 90,000 professionals, in 25 countries, since 2004. In addition to the series of empowering and informative sessions to be hosted by the above mentioned speakers, AAXO’s Organiser Training Day with include a global webinar on maximising exhibition outcomes by applying a data-driven approach. This will be hosted by Ian Sequeira, who has over 30 years of experience in trade show and event industry research. An internationally renowned expert when it comes to developing the extensive and effective corporate and organiser measurement programmes for the exhibition industry, Sequeira heads up Exhibit Surveys Inc.’s research operations. Ian’s co-host, Nancy Drapeau, brings a great deal of expertise to this session as well, with over 21 years of market research experience and 14 years in the trade exhibition industry specifically.
All sales professionals within the exhibition and event industry are encouraged to join the Training Day. A nominal charge of R500 per ticket for AAXO members and R1 000 per ticket for non-members is applicable for this training. To conclude the agenda for the day and offer a platform for delegates to network with other industry leaders, AAXO will for the first time introduce a one-on-one Speed Networking session for Organisers and Suppliers. A small charge of R250 per person is applicable to suppliers for this Speed Networking session.
This is a great opportunity for suppliers to come face to face with potential clients. Following the enormous success of AAXO’s inaugural Exhibition Organiser Training Day that took place in Johannesburg on 10 February 2016 which also included the official launch of AAXO, the training events hosted by AAXO have been extremely well-received, developing a reputation as exciting events which are not to be missed by anyone who wants to keep their finger on the pulse of the African exhibition sector. With details regarding AAXO’s Exhibition Industry SleepOut now being released, it is set to be an exciting two months for AAXO’s members and the greater exhibition industry as a whole. Coinciding with Global Exhibitions Day, the Exhibition Industry SleepOut will involve a gathering of the industry’s most dynamic thought leaders for a Soup and Bread get-together at the Dome in Johannesburg on 7 June 2016.
After spending the night and enjoying coffee and donuts on the morning of 8 June 2016, guests will participate in a webinar hosted in conjunction with the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI).
