Every Saturday Work Shop New Town will host a family-friendly PIC NIC in its green lane.
Expect urban lawns, shade, wonderful PIC NIC blankets and baskets with delicious food offerings, kids’ activities, live music, cocktails and beer, as well as great shopping from over 50 local designers at Work Shop New Town.
There are over 2000 underground parking bays in our secure, pedestrianised precinct at Newtown Junction, corner of Miriam Makeba and Gwigwi Mrwebi Streets, Newtown. Place: The green lane, outside Work Shop New Town and The Potato Shed.
Food / PIC NIC baskets: R95 upwards. The menu has 10 different options at present, baskets for 2-4 are most popular.
Beers + Cocktails: R20 upwards (not included on the menu, but these range from cocktails, beers, ciders).
Blankets to rent: R50 – Deck chairs: R20 – There are crates and pillows dotted around too – these can be enjoyed for free.
