November 2016: MAReSOL is a newly launched restaurant at The V&A Waterfront, offering authentic Portuguese cuisine with a touch of Mozambican flair.
MAReSOL offers a 200-seater double-storey indoor and outdoor deck with breathtakingly beautiful 360 views of the harbour on one side and Table Mountain on the other. Combined with a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere, it guarantees a memorable dining experience. The atmosphere at MAReSOL can be best described as the equivalent to getting together with your closest friends for a catch-up in relaxed surroundings whilst sharing and enjoying authentic, flavourful food.
The authentic flavour is largely due to Chef Eva de Jesus, the Executive Chef, whose Portuguese menu was inspired by her grandmother’s very own tried and tested family recipes. Unique signature variations to favourites include peri-peri chicken, peri-peri prawns, trinchado and espetadas. MAReSOL places a strong Mozambican emphasis on using only the freshest seafood and that is what sets the dining experience apart from the rest.
