Lloyd Orr launches LOCMICE | The Planner

Lloyd Orr Communications recently launched their specialised division within the group and has been appointed to look after the representation of very niche DMCs that cater to special groups and MICE bookings.

DMC’s that cater to special groups and MICE bookings signed up to work with the South African MICE industry.  They are:

Insiders Tourism in the UAE – www.insiders-uae.com. An innovative operator with 16 years’
collective experience offering a myriad of exceptional experiences throughout the UAE and Oman.
Rusmice in Russia – www.rusmice.com.  A bright and energetic DMC with 10 years’ experience in bringing Russia to life for a varied list of clients from around the world.

Speaking about the launch of this new division, MD of Lloyd Orr Communications, Wendie White, said that this division has long been in the making. “We are already very experienced at representing prestigious international organisations such as tourism boards, associations and other travel related businesses. This has been brewing for a while but we were insistent to ensure that we sign up companies that match our energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, and so we have been very selective in our approach. We are delighted now though to introduce these two excellent companies to our market and we look forward to facilitating growth to the destinations they represent the very lucrative groups and MICE segment of our outbound industry”.

Head of Business Travel and Groups at Insiders Tourism Mr Khalaf Khalaf said, “We are delighted to be working with LOCMICE as our in-market representative.  We are serious about the South African market and cannot wait to demonstrate the services we have on offer in the UAE and Oman”.

MD of Rusmice, Ms Natalia Stolyarova who was here in SA last week hosting a function for MICE agents said, “We have already handled some great groups from South Africa and we are excited to be working with Wendie and her team to grow the interest for different experiences in Russia for SA groups. Now with no visa requirements for entry, it really does open up the destination”.

This new division will be headed up by industry veteran Sue Bainbridge.
