The Premier Hotel portfolio now includes a property in Bloemfontein, as the group pursues its strategy to grow its footprint across South Africa. The new Premier Splendid Inn Bloemfontein will cater for both business and leisure travellers, offering three-star accommodation and a state-of-the-art conference facility.
The hotel is on the site of the old Stanville Inn hotel, and has undergone renovations to the value of R95m to build a new wing, 5 floors and a fully-equipped conference facility, as well as to give the hotel a modern contemporary look.
The first phase of the hotel was completed at the end of November, with 48 rooms now available and a fully operational restaurant that provides an a la carte menu, as well as a breakfast buffet and room service. Once completed, the hotel will have 88 rooms, which include 20 double rooms, 50 twin, 13 king, 3 executive and 2 disabled bedrooms.
