Caleo Foundation helps to feed vulnerable communities with #bednightsforfoodparcels | The Planner

Caleo Foundation is a Swiss non-profit conservation organization, and custodian of two local safari properties, Sanbona Wildlife Reserve and Jock Safari Lodge. In order to raise funds for vulnerable communities in South Africa who are being adversely affected by lockdown, Caleo is offering luxury accommodation at each of these properties as part of a fundraising initiative – #bednightsfoodparcels.

The prize for Jock Safari Lodge is an all-inclusive 2-night stay at for two persons sharing. Situated in the south-western corner of the Kruger National Park, Jock Safari Lodge (pictured below) is known for its warm hospitality and unforgettable wildlife encounters. It can only accommodate a maximum of 30 guests at a time, ensuring all guests have a peaceful, private and personalized experience. The proceeds from the highest bid and winner of this prize will be donated to food parcels for the Do More Foundation.

The prize at sister-property Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is for a 2-night stay at flagship Dwyka Tented Lodge within the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve (pictured at the top of the page). All meals and safari activities are included, for two persons sharing. Sanbona is a quick three hour drive from Cape Town, yet offers an authentic safari wilderness experience. All funds raised from this winning bid will be donated to two charities in the Little Karoo – Breede River Hospice and Helpende Handjies.

Bidding will open at 9am on Monday, 18 May 2020 and close at 4pm on Friday, 22 May 2020.

Members of the public are encouraged to bid on these stunning prizes using the format of a Silent Auction. Bidding will open at 9am on Monday, 18 May 2020 and close at 4pm on Friday, 22 May 2020. The highest bid amount will be posted on Facebook and Instagram daily, and the highest bid value will be announced on Monday, 25 May 2020. Only the highest bidder pays to redeem their prize.
